Hero MotoCorp's upcoming Karizma XMR 250 has been spotted undisguised at a dealership in India, signalling that the company's new quarter-litre sports motorcycle is inching closer to its official launch.
The Karizma XMR 250 is expected to be one of several premium motorcycles Hero MotoCorp plans to introduce during FY2026-27 as part of its strategy to strengthen its presence in the 150cc-350cc segment.
The company recently confirmed its intention to expand its premium portfolio with multiple new models, making the XMR 250 one of the first key launches under this plan.
The motorcycle made its global debut at EICMA 2024 before being showcased to the Indian public at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. Now, production-ready units have started reaching dealerships, offering the clearest indication yet that the official launch is imminent.
The spotted motorcycle wears a sporty black and red dual-tone colour scheme while retaining the aggressive silhouette of the Karizma lineup. It features a full aerodynamic fairing, projector LED headlamp with Hero's signature boomerang-shaped LED daytime running lights, integrated winglets, a tall windscreen, split seats and clip-on handlebars.
Compared to the existing Karizma XMR 210, the front fairing has been redesigned to give the motorcycle a sharper and more premium appearance.
Built around a steel trellis frame, the Karizma XMR 250 comes equipped with golden upside-down front forks, a preload-adjustable rear monoshock, 17-inch alloy wheels and disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS.

It also gets a TFT instrument console and is expected to offer premium features such as Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, ride modes, USB charging and Hero Connect 2.0.
Power comes from a 249cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder DOHC engine shared with the Hero Xtreme 250R. The engine produces around 30 PS of maximum power and 25 Nm of peak torque, paired with a six-speed gearbox featuring a slipper and assist clutch.
Once launched in India, the Karizma XMR 250 will compete against rivals such as the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250, KTM RC 200 and the upcoming Yamaha R2.
